Effective communication can significantly impact your relationships with leads and clients. In a fast-paced real estate environment, staying connected is essential. Sierra's email feature solves common challenges by:
- Enabling quick communication directly from your CRM.
- Automatically tracking email history within each lead's record, ensuring you have context for every conversation.
- Supporting both bulk and one-to-one messaging, allowing you to reach out efficiently, whether addressing a group or engaging with individuals.
- Allowing email execution from multiple convenient locations in the platform, improving your workflow.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Connecting Your Email
Before sending emails, connect your email in your Sierra User Profile to sync outbound/inbound messages with each lead’s record.
- Click your profile picture in the top-right.
- Select Edit Profile.

- Scroll to the Connect Email tab.

- Select your email provider.
- After selecting your email provider, you will need to select either Full Sync or Outgoing-Only

Full Sync (Recommended): Captures both outgoing emails and incoming replies from your leads, keeping a complete history in Sierra.

Outgoing-Only: Captures only the emails you send. Incoming replies will not appear in lead history.

- Click Connect Email.

A pop-up will appear asking you to select the email account you want to connect.
Sending an Email from the Leads Dashboard
Option A: Individual Lead

Click the + icon next to the lead’s name

Choose New Email

Option B: Multiple Leads

Check the box next to one or more leads

Select Send Email from the Bulk Actions dropdown that appears above the lead list

Sending an Email from a Lead’s Detail Page

Click the lead’s name from the dashboard or search using the Search Leads bar

Click Email from the lead’s header, or click their email address in the Primary Information box


Sending an Email from the Task Manager

Go to the Task Manager

Click the Emails tab, then select Send Email

Troubleshooting Common Issues
- Issue: Sent email doesn’t appear in the lead’s record
Solution: Make sure your email account is connected under your user profile - Issue: Can’t find the “Email” button

Yes, if your email account is connected, replies will show in the lead’s detail page. - Can I send bulk emails to multiple leads?
Yes, use the checkbox method on the Leads Dashboard to send to multiple contacts. - What if my email provider is not listed?
At this time we are only able to connect to the email providers listed during setup.
