✅ Available Page Settings & What They Do

  • Include in Dynamic Navigation Menus?

Controls whether the page appears in the dynamic submenu (based on your Section Manager settings).

  • Hide Header Navigation?

Hides the main top navigation menu on the page. Use this for landing pages or minimal layouts.

  • Hide Breadcrumbs?

Removes the breadcrumb trail normally displayed at the top of the page.

  • Hide Footer Navigation?

Hides the navigation links that normally appear in the footer area of your site.

  • Display Sidebar on This Page?

Toggles whether the sidebar displays on this page.

  • Full / Fluid Width Page?

Expands the page content to use the full width of the browser window. Useful for modern, clean layouts.

  • Page-Specific Sidebar

Select a specific sidebar or choose to remove it entirely. Sidebars are managed in the Sidebar Manager.

  • Open In

Choose how the page opens when clicked (e.g., same tab or new tab).

  • Page Priority (SEO)

Assign a page priority value between 0.0 and 1.0. Higher values signal to search engines that this page is more important.

  • Robots / Page Indexing (SEO)

Choose whether the page should be indexed by search engines. Useful for excluding landing pages or internal content from search results.

Best Practices

  • Use Hide Navigation settings for clean, focused landing pages.

  • Assign Page Priority based on importance for SEO.

  • Don’t forget to update your Page-Specific Sidebar to reflect the page’s topic.

  • Use Full Width only when no sidebar or minimal distraction is needed.

FAQs

Q: Can I apply different sidebars to each page?

A: Yes. Use the “Page-Specific Sidebar” dropdown to assign any sidebar you’ve created in the Sidebar Manager.

Q: What happens if I don’t assign a Page Priority?

A: Sierra defaults the value to 0.5, which is considered neutral by search engines.

Q: Will hiding the header/footer affect SEO?

A: No, but it can impact user experience if navigation options are missing from key pages.
