Ensure Accurate Listings: How to Manually Refresh Your MLS® Data

Keep your website updated with the latest MLS® data to enhance your property listings and streamline your promotion efforts.

Why This Feature Matters

Sometimes, MLS® updates—such as photo changes or pricing edits—don’t sync to your website right away. This can lead to displaying outdated or inaccurate listing information, which may affect your reputation and sales effectiveness. By manually refreshing your listings, you can ensure that your website reflects the most current and accurate data. This is especially beneficial when showcasing your own listings or making timely updates before promoting them online.

Real-world Examples:

  • A client receives a fast offer on a property, but the website still shows an outdated price. A manual refresh ensures potential buyers see the correct information immediately.
  • After a photo update, you want to promote the property on social media. Refreshing the listing before sharing allows for the most professional presentation possible.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log into the Sierra Admin

    • Go to your admin dashboard using your login credentials.

  2. Navigate to the Listings Section

    • Click “Listings” in the main navigation.

  4. Initiate the Manual Refresh

    • Once your listing appears, locate the green circle icon in the Action column on the right.

  5. Confirm the Refresh Request

    • Click the green icon

    • An overlay will appear asking for confirmation

    • Click Yes to initiate the refresh

  6. Wait for the Update to Process

    • A confirmation will appear

    • The refresh typically takes 5–10 minutes

    • Once complete, your site will show the updated photos and listing details

Best Practices

  • Use this feature immediately after making photo or detail changes in the MLS®.

  • Avoid frequent unnecessary refreshes to reduce system load.

  • Double-check that the MLS® number is accurate before importing.
