Why This Feature Matters
Global Site Settings influence the experience your site visitors have, the quality of information your team receives, and the workflows your agents rely on every day. These settings impact lead conversion, compliance, account security, and automation. Understanding each setting ensures that your team uses Sierra in a way that supports your business goals.
Global Site Settings Overview
The following sections outline each Global Site Setting, what it does, and how it affects your website experience, lead workflows, and team access.
Contact Info Display
- Default New Listings Email Alert Subject
Sets the default subject line for new listings email alerts sent to leads. - Contact Us Text
Displays your chosen contact message or phone number in the Contact Us area of your website.
Lead Distribution
- Actionable Window Start Time and Actionable Window End Time
Defines the timeframe during which agents can receive claim and pass notifications for new leads. This window also controls when automated messages can be sent, including Fully Automated Action Plans (FAAPs) and auto-send text messages triggered by Lead Routing Rules. Messages and notifications are only delivered during the configured window.
To remain compliant with messaging regulations, set this window between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM.
- Include lead contact info in the notification to agents
If set to No, notifications hide the lead’s phone number and email address until the agent claims the lead. This helps maintain fair lead distribution. - Enable Lead Registration on the Following Contact Form Types
Determines which form submissions should automatically create new leads in the CRM. Options include:- Contact Request
- Contact Request (Sellers)
- Contact Request (Buyers)
- Mortgage Pre-Qualification
- Careers
- Free Market Analysis
- Personalized Home Search
- If a form is checked, submitting it creates a lead and routes it using your lead distribution rules.
⚠️Important: The “Email Me” contact form on Agent Profile pages does not create leads. While it appears similar to other contact forms, it functions as a secure replacement for displaying an agent’s email address publicly. Messages submitted through this form are sent directly to the agent but are not captured in the CRM. This design helps protect agents from spam and bad actors scraping email addresses, and there is currently no setting to enable lead capture for this form.
Agent Permissions
These settings control what Agent-level and Lender-level users can do in your Sierra account.
- Allow Agent-Level Users to Export Their Own Leads
- Allow Agent-Level Users to Assign Tasks to Manager-Level Users
- Allow Agent and Lender Users to Re-Assign Leads
- Allow Agent-level User to Re-Assign Lender
- Allow Agent and Lender Users to See Leads Assigned to Other Users in Lead Quick Search Results
- Allow Agent-Level Users to Disable Smart Filter Visibility for Other Agent-Level Users
- Allow Agent and Lender-Level Users to Manually Stop, Pause, and Resume an Action Plan Without Adding a Note
- Allow Agent-level Users to View the Dialer Dashboard
- Allow Agent-level and Lender-level Users to View Completed Tasks and Tasks Due in Future
Each permission provides additional flexibility or control for day-to-day lead management and task workflows.
Lead Opt-In and Consent
These settings can only be modified by the Primary Manager.
- Opt-Out Message
When you send an automated or mass text to a lead for the first time from a non-exempted source, Sierra appends an opt-out message. The Primary Manager can customize the text, but it must end with:
reply STOP to cancel
The Office Name is pulled from your Account Contact Settings. - Opt-Out Behavior
This message is also appended to later automated or mass messages unless the lead has engaged in a conversation in the last 30 days. - Exempted Sources
In some cases, the opt-out message may not be appended based on how the lead was originally sourced and the consent signal provided at the time of registration. These rules are managed to align with messaging compliance standards and third-party platform requirements.
If you believe an opt-out message should or should not be applying to a specific lead source, contact Sierra Support for review.
