How to Use Partial Seller Leads to Capture More Opportunities

Automatically collect property information from abandoned forms, allowing you to follow up with potential sellers through direct mail and convert missed contacts into new listing opportunities.

Quick Summary

The Partial Seller Leads feature automatically captures property details when visitors start but do not complete seller forms on your Exec homepage Seller tab or dedicated Seller Lead Sites. This allows you to run direct mail campaigns and continue nurturing these prospects, even if they never submit their email or phone number.

Why This Matters

Many homeowners start filling out online home value or seller inquiry forms, but stop before entering their contact information. Without Partial Seller Leads, these opportunities are completely lost. By capturing property addresses and key form data when they abandon, you can:

  • Build a pipeline of homeowners likely considering selling.

  • Send targeted mailers like property valuations or local market reports.

  • Convert passive site visitors into future listing appointments.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Enable Partial Seller Leads

This feature must be turned on by a Manager or above.

  • Go to Global Site Settings in your Sierra dashboard.

  • Find Partial Forms.

  • Turn on the Seller Lead Partial Information Capture toggle.

Once activated, your system will automatically start capturing abandoned seller form submissions on your homepage and Seller Lead Sites.

2. Access Your Partial Seller Leads

  • Navigate to your Leads Dashboard.

  • Click the Partial Seller Leads tab.

Here you will see a list of captured partial leads, including:

  • Property address entered

  • Abandonment date and time

  • Source domain (Exec homepage Seller tab or Seller Lead Site)

  • Any other form field data (such as number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and location), excluding personal contact information

3. Manage and Follow Up

From the Partial Seller Leads tab, you can:

  • Mark as Contacted: Keep track of who you have contacted.

  • Create Lead: Convert the record into a full lead when you later obtain their contact details.

  • Delete Record: Permanently remove the partial lead if needed. (Note this cannot be undone.)

Best Practices for Follow-Up

Because these partial leads typically lack email addresses or phone numbers, direct mail is your most effective follow-up strategy. Consider:

  • Sending a personalized postcard offering a free market analysis of their home.

  • Mailing recent sold reports or neighborhood Market Updates.

  • Offering staging or prep consultations for luxury properties or homes likely to list soon.

How This Helps Your Business

Capturing abandoned seller form data ensures you are not leaving potential listings on the table. This gives your team more seller opportunities to nurture, builds a stronger direct mail list, and turns your website into an even more powerful listing pipeline. Over time, it helps you close more deals by reaching homeowners before they engage with competing agents.
