Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Set Up the Integration

  • Go to the gear icon in Sierra → Integrationsfub integrations page

  • Select Follow Up Boss

  • Agree to the acceptable use policy

  • Enter your Follow Up Boss API Keyfub api key

2. Configure Your Sync Settings

Each setting below can be adjusted during setup or later via the Edit button:

  1. Send leads from Sierra to Follow Up Boss automatically

    • Toggle ON or OFF. If OFF, leads can still be sent manually.fub step 1

  2. Use Lead Flow through Follow Up Boss

    • Optional: Apply Auto-Created E-Alerts from Sierra.fub step 2

  3. Choose lead source label

    • Use Sierra site name or original source.fub step 3

  4. Send lead registration events to Follow Up Boss

    • May trigger automation in FUB.fub step 4

  5. Sync new/updated leads from Follow Up Boss to Sierra

  6. Send communication items from Sierra to Follow Up Boss

    • Site messages, emails, logged calls, texts, notesfub step 5

  7. Send communication items from Follow Up Boss to Sierra

    • Phone calls and notesfub step 6

  8. Enable notifications for sync issuesfub step 7

3. Import Follow Up Boss Users to Sierra

  • Click “Import Follow Up Boss Users to Sierra”fub step 9

  • All FUB users without a matching email in Sierra will be imported

  • Click “Import Users” to complete

4. Manually Sync Leads Between Platforms

  • Navigate to the Follow Up Boss Integration in Sierra

  • Click “Sync Leads Between Follow Up Boss and Sierra”

  • Choose your preferred sync settings

  • Click “Sync Now”fub sync step

Best Practices

  • Golden Rule: Users must exist in both systems with the same email address for assignments and communication to sync correctly.

  • Include email addresses for all leads in Follow Up Boss to ensure they sync to Sierra.

  • Avoid using Sierra Lead Ponds with this integration — they are not supported.

  • Be cautious using First to Claim routing in Sierra, as agent assignments may not sync correctly to FUB. Consider using:

    • Manual reassignment in FUB

    • FUB routing rules instead of Sierra’s

    • Alternative routing types in Sierra

  • FUB Lead Ponds will sync leads to Sierra only once the lead is claimed or reassigned.

  • Agent assignment updates in either system will reflect in the other within ~10 minutes.
