Why This Feature Matters

Juggling client communications, showings, and team meetings is a constant challenge. When your schedule lives in one place and your lead management in another, it’s easy to double-book yourself or, even worse, let a promising lead fall through the cracks because of a scheduling mistake.

Sierra's Google Calendar integration solves this problem by connecting your calendar directly to your CRM. This saves you valuable time by eliminating the need to switch between platforms. It also improves the client experience by sending automated invitations and updates, reducing no-shows and ensuring everyone is on the same page.

Best Practices for a Streamlined Schedule

  • Use Descriptive Appointment Types: Instead of generic names like "Meeting," create custom types like "Buyer Consultation," "Showing - 123 Main St," or "Listing Presentation." This helps you understand your schedule at a glance and makes your reporting more powerful.
  • Add Notes for Context: Use the "Internal Notes" field to add important context for yourself or your team, such as "Lead is pre-approved up to $500k" or "Remember to bring market analysis."
  • Confirm Appointments in Advance: While the calendar invite serves as a confirmation, a quick text or email the day before an important meeting can significantly reduce no-shows and reinforce your professionalism.
  • Schedule Follow-Up Tasks: When you log an appointment's outcome, immediately schedule the next step as a task in Sierra, such as "Follow up with market report" or "Send thank you email."

Real-world Examples:

  • Secure a Showing Instantly: While on the phone with a hot lead, you can book a showing directly from their profile. The lead automatically receives a calendar invite, confirming the appointment and making your business look professional and organized.
  • Coordinate with Your Team: When you book a client meeting and add a team member, the event appears on everyone’s calendar (provided each team member integrates their calendar). This prevents internal confusion and ensures seamless collaboration.
