Why These Policies Matter

At Sierra Interactive, we prioritize the security and integrity of our platform. But true security is a partnership. These policies are designed not just to set rules, but to empower you to protect your most valuable assets: your client data, your lead database, and your business reputation.

Following these guidelines helps prevent common problems that can disrupt your business, such as unauthorized access to your leads, accidental data loss, or service interruptions that affect your website's performance.

Real-world Examples:

  • Protecting Your Database: A former team member who still has an active login could export your lead list. By managing your users properly, you close this security gap and protect your hard-won leads.
  • Maintaining Site Performance: AI systems and search tools can access your site and find your content, which means it is discoverable. However, using an unauthorized automated tool or AI-based service to extract or copy your site’s content can consume server resources, slowing it down for legitimate home buyers and hurting your SEO. Our policies on automated tools prevent this.

Your Responsibilities for Authorized Users

As the account owner, you are responsible for everyone who uses your Sierra Interactive products and services. An "Authorized User" is any employee, contractor, or other individual you grant access to.

You are responsible for:

  • Clearly identifying every individual who has access to your account.
  • Ensuring all your users understand and comply with the policies outlined in this guide and our official Terms of Service.

Keeping Your Account and Credentials Secure

Your login credentials are the keys to your business. Protecting them is one of the most important steps you can take to keep your data safe.

Your security commitments include:

  • Safeguarding Credentials: Take reasonable steps to protect all user login credentials from being lost, stolen, or shared.
  • Preventing Unauthorized Access: Implement practices to prevent anyone who is not an Authorized User from accessing, sharing, or altering your account.
  • Reporting Breaches Promptly: If you ever suspect that your account has been compromised or used without permission, you must notify our support team immediately.

Prohibited Actions on the Platform

To ensure a stable and reliable platform for all users, certain actions are strictly prohibited. Engaging in these activities can result in the temporary or permanent suspension of your account.

You and your users may not:

  • Modify or Reverse Engineer: Do not copy, modify, decompile, or attempt to reverse engineer any of Sierra's products or services.
  • Disrupt the Service: Do not use our products in any way that interferes with or disrupts the platform for other users.
  • Use Unauthorized Automation: Do not use automated tools, bots, or AI-based systems to monitor, extract, or copy content from the platform. While AI technologies may access and discover content available on your website, unauthorized automated collection or replication of data remains strictly prohibited.  The only exceptions are our documented API and our official Zapier integration.

Using Third-Party Services and Integrations

Many Sierra products can connect with third-party services to extend their functionality. When you use these integrations, you are also subject to the terms of that third-party service.

When working with third parties:

  • Review Their Terms: Before using an integration, you are responsible for reviewing and agreeing to the third-party service's terms and conditions.
  • We Reserve the Right to Restrict: Sierra Interactive may prohibit or restrict integrations with any third-party service that we determine fails to meet our security and acceptable use standards.

Our Commitment to Service Integrity

We are committed to providing a high-quality, reliable, and competitive service. To meet this commitment, we may occasionally update or modify our systems to improve performance, maintain compliance with laws, or enhance security. As part of this process, we reserve the right to restrict access to our products as necessary to protect the integrity of the platform.
