Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Verify User Permissions

  • Primary Managers can update the favicon by default

  • Manager-level Users must have the permission “Can update main Account Contact Info” enabled in their user profile

2. Access the ‘Account Contact Info’ Page

  • From the Sierra admin, click the gear icon, then choose Account Contact Info

3. Locate the “Favicon” Section

  • Scroll down to the section labeled Favicon

4. Upload Your Favicon Image

  • Click Choose File and upload your favicon image

  • Accepted formats: .jpg, .gif, .png

  • Recommended size: 260px by 260px

    • Use a square image for best results

5. Save Changes

  • Click Save at the bottom of the Account Contact Info page to apply the update

  • Your new favicon will now display in browser tabs, bookmarks, and other browser contexts

Best Practices

  • Use a simplified version of your logo or a recognizable icon

  • Avoid detailed images—they may not render well at smaller sizes

  • Always preview in multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) for consistency
